Its been a windy evening and thought its a perfect time to make something warm and cheesy.  I have had these lasagne sheets lying in my pantry for a couple of months now, so finally decided to make use of them.

Mousakka

I absolutely enjoy preparing these quick and easy meals.  They are perfect with a glass of wine and a green salad.  So for a this Greek dish, all you need is to cook the mince and the bechamel sauce and slice the eggplants.  Then its all about layering the three items and putting it away in the oven whilst you chat with your friends.

Sexy Claws

It is hard to find some large heavy crabs in the markets often.  Then there is always the temptation to try out a new recipe with crab meat but when the crabs get home I can only think of eating them in traditional goan preparation called Crab Xec Xec or cooked with some Recheiado masala.  So this time it was Crab Xec Xec a red gravy using roasted coconut.

Sweet & Sour Notes

Saturday evening, we finally watched 'Ek Tha Tiger' which seems to have crossed the 200 crore mark at the box office.  Definitely not the kind of movie I would ever watch, but since my brother had worked on the background scores we decided to go watch.

For Dad...

The daughter is always referred to as Daddy’s little girl.  Well my Dad has four daughters to call his little girls, though far from  little anymore.  But I remember he calling us his “Little Women” and that was the one of the first simple adaptation of the classic by Louisa May Alcott that he had gifted us.  And inside the book he wrote “To My Little Women – With Love Dad”.  I loved reading it and me and my sisters identified with the four sisters in the story – Meg, Joe, Beth and  Amy .  And  at that time we were curious to know who would be  Laurie.

My First Blog...

Here I go with my first blog at Love In A Pot.  Why Love in a pot?  Well, I love cooking and cooking with love, for people you love is the most important ingredient of any recipe.  And I know you all agree with me on this one.   So fill all that love in a pot that gets together your loved ones, share some laughter and music and life is all good!
